Karen Ward-Linker, Owner and Full Time Pet Sitter

Karen Ward-Linker  was raised in a small town in Western
North Carolina and moved to Charleston in 1993 after college.
Karen received her undergraduate and Master's degree in
Business Administration and spent 15 years working in the
corporate world as a trainer and pharmaceutical sales
representative.

Karen left her years in the corporate world in 2007 to pursue
her lifelong dream of working with animals full time. Karen
started Island Paws Pet Sitting and brought that dream to life
in the  summer of 2007. Karen has spent many years helping
abandoned and abused animals, volunteering with rescue
organizations, and fostering rescues in her home.  Karen is
also experienced in working with special needs and geriatric
animals, as well as administering shots and fluids.

Karen lives on the Isle of Palms with her husband, Dr. Paul
Linker (a pediatrician in Mt. Pleasant), her son Sanders, and
her beloved dogs.
